Trinidad and Tobago were ushered out of the World Cup by Paraguay in Kaiserslautern tonight but there was no disgrace in defeat for the Soca Warriors.

Needing a win to stand any chance of progressing to the last 16, the men from the Caribbean never looked like getting it once Brent Sancho had turned a Julio Dos Santos header into his own goal midway through the first-half.

Trinidad gave everything after the break in the hunt for an equaliser but after having thwarting their opponents’ best efforts, Paraguay promptly bagged a second through Nelson Cuevas four minutes from time.
