Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni has included Manchester United's Robbie Brady in his starting line-up for tomorrow's friendly with Greece.
John O'Shea, who has been named as team captain, will have Aston Villa's Ciaran Clark as his partner at the centre of the defence at the Aviva Stadium, while Everton's Seamus Coleman and Stephen Ward of Wolves complete the defence.
Wigan's James McCarthy will play alongside Glenn Whelan in the middle of the park and will have James McClean and Brady as wingers.
West Brom's Shane Long has been rewarded for his recent good form with a place up front beside Nottingham Forest's Simon Cox.
It means that Norwich midfielder Wes Hoolahan will have to settle for a place on the bench.
Trappatoni was full of praise for the United winger.
He said: "Robbie Brady is one the best creative players and until this moment we have had no players with this creativity."
