Celtic manager Martin O’Neill has scored a hat-trick in the transfer market with the capture of John Hartson, Steve Guppy and Momo Sylla.

Welsh international striker Hartson has joined from Coventry in a deal worth around £6.5m on a four-year contract.

Winger Guppy has put pen to paper on a three-year contract at Parkhead to rejoin his former Leicester boss.

And wing-back Sylla has signed on from St Johnstone on a five-year contract.

But O’Neill is confident that the three newcomers will not be the last after he beat the Champions League deadline ahead of the qualifying tie against Ajax.

"Having lost a number of players during the summer, it was essential to bring the squad back to last season’s strength and I still hope to add to its depth in the coming weeks," said O’Neill.
