Teenage midfielder Conor Coady was handed his debut for Liverpool’s difficult Europa League Group A tie against Anzhi Makhachkala in Moscow.
The 19-year-old was one of seven changes from the team which beat the Russian side a fortnight ago, with striker Adam Morgan, 18, making only his second start up front.
Anzhi forward Lacina Traore, scorer of three goals in his last five matches, returned to the starting line-up after coming on as a substitute at Anfield.
