Alan Curbishley confirmed today West Ham are keeping an eye on Argentinian striker Nicolas Mazzola.

The 17-year-old has trained with the Hammers at Chadwell Heath and has been linked with a £1m move from Independiente.

Mazzola scored twice as Argentina reached the quarter-finals of last year’s Under-17s World Cup in Korea.

“He is a young boy we have had training with us. He is only a 17-year-old. He is nothing for the first team at the moment,” said Hammers boss Curbishley.
