Heroic Manchester homeless man receives life-changing offer from West Ham owner
A homeless man who ran to the aid of injured children after the Manchester Arena bombing has received a life-changing offer from the owner of West Ham United, .
Stephen Jones, a Mancunian who was sleeping near the Arena, recalled the horrific details of pulling nails and shards of glass out of children’s faces on ITV News.
The former bricklayer, who has been sleeping rough for more than a year, said: “Just because I'm homeless, it doesn't mean I haven't got a heart and I’m not human still.

“They needed the help, and I’d like to think someone would come and help me if I needed the help.
“It’s just instinct to go and help if someone needed your help, and it was children with blood all over them and crying and screaming.
“It had to be done. You had to help. If I didn't help I wouldn't be able to live with myself for walking away and leaving kids like that.”
Millions of people have watched the video on social media, including West Ham majority shareholder David Sullivan.
The businessman was touched by the clip and appealed to find Jones on BBC Radio 5 Live.
“It looks like he needs some help, so we are desperate to find who he is and give him six months’ free accommodation and a little bit of money to help him on his way.”

His son, Dave Sullivan Jnr., later tweeted: “WE HAVE FOUND STEVE! Shows the power for good social media has. Thank you to all those involved, you have helped change a mans life”.
