Midfielder Rory Delap has joined Barnsley on loan until the end of the season, Stoke have confirmed.

Midfielder Rory Delap has joined Barnsley on loan until the end of the season, Stoke have confirmed.

The 36-year-old agreed a one-year contract extension with Stoke last May, to feature in his seventh season with the club.

The Republic of Ireland player signed for the Potters in a £500,000 move from Sunderland, was part of the 2007/08 promotion-winning side and has gone on to play over 200 matches for the club.
