Burnley have signed Fernando Guerrero on a season-long loan deal from Ecuadorian side Independiente del Valle.

Manager Owen Coyle has the option to make the 19-year-old winger’s move permanent at the end of the campaign.

Coyle had been tracking Guerrero after watching the teenager in action for Real Madrid’s reserve side, Real Madrid Castilla.

Guerrero then impressed as a trialist during Burnley’s pre-season tour of America in July.
