The grave of soccer legend George Best is fast becoming a place of pilgrimage for die-hard fans of the late Northern Ireland and Manchester United star.
The 59-year-old's burial place at Roselawn Cemetery in Belfast is attracting hundreds of visitors every day, with young and old alike laying flowers, flags and wreaths at the graveside.
Belfast City Council is now urgently considering plans for a memorial to try to divert visitors away from the cemetery, where large crowds could disturb other mourners.
UUP councillor Jim Rodgers, the director of Glentoran football club, has said an alternative must be found, possibly a sculpture in the grounds of City Hall.
