Former All Black and rugby pundit Brent Pope has selected his four favourite Six Nations moments.
Pope has also backed Ireland to beat Scotland and go on to win the Grand Slam.
Speaking at Wanderer’s Rugby Club in a match preview with the National Lottery, Pope announced his top four moments as the Lotto jackpot heads for €4m.
"That kick, the way it hung in the air for an eternity. Will it? Won’t it? But Ronan put it straight through the posts, and then we had the last kick of the game where the Welsh missed and Ireland won the Grand Slam."
"This was the game that announced a young BOD onto the stage of world rugby and those three tries were magnificent. In fact, this win over the French announced Ireland as a serious force in rugby."
"I remember the pure emotion of that game which of course started with that famous scene of John Hayes in tears during the anthem. Then the performance from Ireland and that try from Shane Horgan where he leaped in the air like a jack salmon and caught the ball."
"To bring it more up to date who could forget that last minute drop goal from Johnny Sexton that gave us the win. The self-belief and BANG, Johnny steps up. 40 metres out. Rainy day in Paris. Only one player could do it and with that the French were done."
