Murphy takes provincial team manager role

Former Leinster and Ireland coach Gerry Murphy has been employed as the new Provincial Domestic Team Manager.

Former Leinster and Ireland coach Gerry Murphy has been employed as the new Provincial Domestic Team Manager.

He will oversee the implementation of Leinster's underage representative strategy for the various Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 Age Grade representative sides.

The Leinster U20s will be coached by Richie Murphy, assisted by former Ireland coach Gabriel Fulcher, who coached Belvedere College SJ to last season's Leinster Schools Senior Cup title.

The Leinster Under-19 (Schools) side will be coached by Noel Murray (Clongowes Wood College SJ), assisted assisted by former British and Irish Lions and Ireland full-back Rodney O'Donnell (St. Mary's College).

Ireland Youths coach Greg Lynch (Greystones) will lead this year's Leinster Under-19 (Club) side, assisted by former South African international scrum-half Dan Van Zyl.

In the Leinster Under-18 (Schools), Rory McIlreavy (The King's Hospital) has been named as coach, assisted by former Leinster and Ireland 'A' hooker Peter Smyth (ex Blackrock College).

Hugh Hogan (St Mary's College) will coach the Leinster Under-18 (Club), assisted by Michael Moran (Naas).
