Scotland 19 Ireland 6
Scotland enjoyed much the better of the first half of the Test against Ireland at Murrayfield.
The home side made a dream start when Ally Hogg dived over from close range in the fourth minute and Andrew Henderson added a second when he muscled over 20 minutes later.
Chris Paterson added the conversions before Euan Murray touched down for a third try just before the break.
Paddy Wallace and Geordan Murphy replied with penalties for Ireland but it was an indifferent first-half display from Eddie O’Sullivan’s men in the World Cup warm-up match.
