Defending champions Christian Brothers College Cork duly qualified for another Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Junior Cup final when they saw off a decent challenge from Bandon Grammar School at balmy Temple Hill today.
Christians found it impossible to break down a resolute and well organised Bandon defence as they dominated territory in the first half, but they took the breaks that came their way in the second spell and went on to record a thoroughly deserved win.
Ben McGarry’s try ten minutes after the break was crucial to their success and George Coomber added another six minutes later. At 10-0, Christians were never going to be beaten and substitute Jason Ahern finished with a third try five minutes from the end.
