Blow for Munster as Sammy Arnold suffers hairline fracture

Munster centre Sammy Arnold is to miss "the next few weeks" after sustaining a hairline fracture of his fibula.

In better news for the province, Jack O'Donoghue is nearing a return to the pitch for the first time since suffering a serious knee ligament injury in May.

J-J Hanrahan is in the frame to face Southern Kings in Cork on Friday having recovered from a hip injury.

Meanwhile, at Leinster Sean O'Brien says he's looking to use his experience to help re-establish London Irish as a top club in England once more.

It's been confirmed that the Leinster back row forward will join the current English Championship leaders in December, after the World Cup.

O'Brien's reportedly signed a 3-year deal with the Exiles, said to be worth over 450-thousand euro a year.

Leinster head coach Leo Cullen hopes O'Brien can still win himself a fifth Heineken Champions Cup and third Pro 14 title this season.

in other news Fergus McFadden could also feature in their Pro 14 game away to Zebre on Saturday after returning to full training following a hamstring injury.
