This afternoon's meeting at Wolverhampton goes ahead after the track passed a morning inspection.

Clerk of the course Fergus Cameron had called a 7.30am inspection but he brought that check forward after seeing a reasonable amount of snow.

He said: "We brought the inspection forward as although we did see some snow, it didn't really settle.

"Temperatures are forecast to go up to plus two or three degrees so on that basis, we don't anticipate any problems."
