Cross-country skier Thomas Westgaard has placed 62nd in the 1.4km Cross Country Sprint at the Winter Olympics.
Westgaard recorded a time of 3:29.61, which wasn't enough for him to get out of qualifying.
The gold medal was won by Norway's Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo who recorded a time of 3:05.75. Silver was won by Italian skier Federico Pellegrino and bronze by Alexander Bolshunov, an Olympic Athlete from Russia.
Speaking to The42.ie, Westgaard said, "I’m very happy with that, it’s one of the best sprints I’ve done this season, so I have to be satisfied with that."
Meanwhile, Clare's Patrick McMillan was 61st overall in the downhill element of the Combined Downhill after having his debut delayed by 48-hours.
