Waterlogged Navan called off, but no worries at Haydock

This afternoon’s meeting at Navan has been cancelled because of a waterlogged track.

Officials at the County Meath circuit were left with no option but to draw stumps following an early-morning course inspection.

Further overnight rain put paid to any notion of the jumps fixture defeating the elements.

Meanwhile, this afternoon’s meeting at Haydock has passed an early-morning inspection and goes ahead as planned.

Officials on Merseyside gave the jumps fixture the go-ahead following just three millimetres of overnight rain.

The going is heavy.
