Bray's Katie Taylor has won her semi-final by 10 points against Tajikistan’s 19-year-old Asian champion, Mavzuna Choriyeva, in Beijing.

Bray's Katie Taylor has won her semi-final by 10 points against Tajikistan’s 19-year-old Asian champion, Mavzuna Choriyeva, in Beijing.

She was winning 5-1 after the first round in China and stretched that lead to 8-2 in the second round before leading 11-4 in the penultimate round.

The three-time world champion eventually won the bout on a score of 16-6 and now faces a final tomorrow.
