The Black Ash park and ride facility in Cork city will offer free late-night parking tomorrow night as up to 15,000 sports fans are expected in the city for two big sporting events.

Gardaí urged motorists attending games in Musgrave Park and Turner's Cross, which kick-off within 45-minutes of each other tomorrow evening, to consider using the 900-space facility which will remain open until 10pm.

Up to 8,000 fans are expected to watch Munster take on Glasgow in the at Musgrave Park with kick-off at 7pm.

Some tickets for the game are still available, and can be bought here.

Supporters can also buy tickets at the ground until 5pm today and from 9am tomorrow morning.

At least 6,000 fans are due to watch Cork City FC take on Waterford United at Turner's Cross with kick off at 7.45pm.

Gardaí said the proximity of both grounds and the kick-off times may result in considerable traffic delays and a huge demand for parking.

They advised people against parking illegally or obstructing residential access.

They also urged fans attending either game to allow plenty of time to get to the grounds, and to consider using the park and ride facility.
