Padraig Harrington confirms he will play at Irish Open

Padraig Harrington has confirmed he will play at this year's Irish Open.

The 2020 Ryder Cup captain will be returning to the Lahinch Golf Club for the first time since winning at the County Clare links as an amateur in 1995.

The Dubliner has not played since November due to a wrist injury, but will be back in action at this week's Maybank Challenge in Malaysia.

Harrington has said his wrist may not be at 100% for the next six to nine months.

The three-time Major winner will make his return at this week's Maybank Challenge in Malaysia after suffering a broken wrist at home over New Year's.
