Andy Murray has accepted a wild card for next week’s ATP clay-court event in Barcelona.
The decision is an about-turn for the 20-year-old, who had indicated he would take a short break after this week’s Monte Carlo Masters.
The Scot reached the third round – a career-best performance on clay in a Masters event – but was well beaten by Novak Djokovic yesterday.
Murray lived in Barcelona as a teenager, moving there when he was 14.
He attended the Schiller International School, training on the clay courts of the Sanchez-Casal Academy.
