Rory McIlroy has sprinted to the top of the sports wealth rankings in Ireland at the age of just 25.
The winner of two of golf's Majors in the past year features on the top of the 2015 Sunday Times Rich List with a wealth of €52m.
McIlroy finds himself a stroke ahead of fellow golfer Padraig Harrington and Roy Keane who earned a third spot with a fortune of €40m.
Ian Coxon, who compiled the list, said lucrative sponsorship deals have kept Rory McIlroy at the top.
"[He has] a 1-year contract with Nike worth over €200m, which he doesn't earn all at once, but is certainly going to mean he's got plenty of money in his pocket - even if he doesn’t win another major," he said.
