Ireland's women qualified for Barcelona 2003 after they reached the final of the qualifying tournament in Dublin.

Ireland's women qualified for Barcelona 2003 after they reached the final of the qualifying tournament in Dublin.

A 1-0 victory over Italy was enough for the hosts and they are now guaranteed a place in the 2003 event.

Ireland’s men also secured qualification at the expense of Wales with a 1-0 victory, also in Dublin, and they will face Italy in tomorrow’s final.
