Incroyable! French relay runner's astounding final leg snatches gold at the line
France won the women's 4x400m relay final in Zurich yesterday with a final leg that has to be seen to be believed.
When the final runners took their batons the competitors from Russia, Ukraine and Britain were in a tight trio metres ahead of French runner Floria Guei. It looked as if the only question to be decided was in which order those three would win medals.
But as they turned on to the home straight 24-year-old Guei showed an incredible burst of speed to catch the leaders right at the finish line.
The photo finish showed her just getting a knee in front of the others to claim gold.
