Jenson Button insisted he would compete in the next race in Austria after coming through the pain barrier in Spain.
Button endured another difficult afternoon on the track as he finished 15th for Benetton in Barcelona despite suffering a problem with his right shoulder.
But he confirmed he will line-up in a fortnight's time just a day after his management team said he might miss the race to give the injury more time to heal.
"I will race in Austria - I will be there," said Button, who was given a pain-killing injection a couple of days after the last race in Italy two weeks ago.
"I am sure the problem will have cleared up by then which is the main thing.
"I had an injection in my shoulder about 10 days ago because I have had a problem with it since Malaysia.
"Normally the pain should have gone away by now, but it hasn't although it is getting easier and my physio has done a lot of work on it.
"In practice and qualifying it's not too bad, but it does hurt when I get into a race situation.
"It hasn't been helped because places like Imola are anti-clockwise circuits. I was in a lot of pain after Imola."
