The 2017 'Three' FAI International Award nominees have been announced with Shane Duffy, James McClean and Darren Randolph set to battle it out for the Senior International Player of the Year gong,
.The awards will take place on March 18 and will be broadcast live RTÉ.
The late Jimmy Magee is set to be posthumously honoured on the night with a Special Merit award.
The commentator passed away in September 2017 and was regarded by many as the voice of Irish sport having commentated at 11 Olympic Games and 12 World Cups.
Elsewhere, Megan Campbell, Denise O'Sullivan and Harriet Scott will compete for the Senior Women's International Player of the Year award while Cyrus Christie, Shane Duffy and Callum O'Dowda are all nominated for Young International Player of the Year.
James McClean is nominated twice in the Goal of the Year category for his strikes against Uruguay and Wales and he will be up against Jonathan Walters' strike against Austria.
League of Ireland champions Cork City have two players nominated in the SSE Airtricity League Player of the Year award with Sean Maguire and Conor McCormack up against Dundalk's Patrick McEleney.
The Hall of Fame and International Personality awards are to be announced on the night.
