Andrew Bree set two new Irish swimming records on the opening day of the European Short-course Championships at the National Aquatic Centre in Dublin yesterday.
Bree became the first Irishman to swim the 100m breaststroke in less than a minute and also broke the record in the 200m individual medley.
Emma Robinson set a new Irish record in the 50m breaststroke, while the Irish men’s medley team also set a new national record, despite losing their race to the Germans, who broke the world record.
