Cork City 0 Bohemians 1
Tony Grant hit a vital winner to relieve the pressure on boss Stephen Kenny and move Bohs above Cork into second place on goal difference.
Cork’s Kevin Doyle, Danny Murphy and Neale Fenn, who had a header come back off the bar, came close before Bohs snatched what proved the only goal of the game four minutes before the interval.
City keeper Michael Devine misjudged the flight of a Simon Webb cross in from the left and Grant headed home at the back post.
Cork had much of the ball in the second half but created very little.
John O’Flynn came closest to equalising two minutes from time, but fired wide from six yards following Denis Behan’s cross.
