Mayo forward Cora Staunton shone in the TG4/O'Neill's Ladies Football All-Stars match in Singapore as she inspired the 2004 All-Stars to a handsome win over their 2005 counterparts.

Staunton bagged 2-08 (1f) to drive Michael Ryan's 2004 outfit to victory in sweltering conditions at the Polo Club grounds.

In a game played over four 10-minute quarters, Irish soccer international Niamh Fahey grabbed the opening goal for the 2005 side, who led 1-02 to 0-04 at the end of the first quarter.

But, Staunton, a four-time All-Ireland winner, came to the fore in the second quarter bulging the net twice as the 2004 team added 3-03 to their tally. Leading 3-09 to 1-06 going into the final quarter, the 2004 selection eased home with Dublin's Mary Nevin tagging on 1-04 to her tally and Staunton and substitute Sinead Aherne kicking a point apiece.

Galway pair Fahey (1-01) and Lorna Joyce (0-03 (1f)) top-scored for the losers.
