Irish rugby fans will be able to keep their eye on the ball this Six Nations season, with the announcement that match highlights and interviews will be officially available from the new RBS 6 Nations YouTube channel.

An archive of past games will also be available online, so rugby fans can catch whatever matches they miss, or want to watch again.

Stephen Nutall of Sports for Youtube Europe said the development can only serve to enhance the viewing experience.

"There's this enormous conversation on YouTube (with) three days' worth of content uploaded every single minute," he said.

Of the RBS Six nations content , he said: …Now the debate (among fans) is enhanced because you can actually see the incidents as they happen."

Ireland kick off their Six Nations campaign at 1.30pm today against Wales in the Millenium Stadium.
