Galway boss Conor Hayes has named a strong side for their championship opener against Down on Saturday.

Galway boss Conor Hayes has named a strong side for their championship opener against Down on Saturday.

Galway face the Mourne men at Ballycran, and despite Down's recent turn of fortune it has been billed as a David versus Goliath clash.

Hayes welcomes David Collins and David Hayes into the team for their championship debuts at centre-back and midfield respectively.
