It was a hectic day on the county final scene - here is everything you need to know from around the county over the weekend:

ANTRIM SFC final (replay): Erin's Own, Cargin 3-16 Lámh Dhearg 0-23

CARGIN claimed their fourth Antrim SFC title at Corrigan Park in Saturday's replay, but they needed extra-time to finally shrug off the challenge of Lámh Dhearg.

The Toome club held a 2-4 to 0-9 lead at the interval thanks to goals at the start and end of the half when Tomás McCann pounced on a mistake to fire home on four minutes, while Ciaran Bradley's dropping shot fell kindly for MIchael Magill to roll into the empty net on 29.

However, Lámh Dhearg shrugged off these setbacks with Eoin McKeown and Conor Murray leading the way as they stayed the pace to trail by just one at the break.

Cargin struck for a third goal four minutes after the restart when Bradley squared for Magill to turn it home, but again Lámh Dhearg stuck to the plan and found themselves on terms on 47 minutes with the impressive Murray, younger brother Ryan and Paddy Cunningham all on target.

They were dealt a blow when Ben Rice - booked earlier in the half - was shown a black card and then red for trailing back Tomás McCann and this appeared to be the turning point as Cargin took charge with Kieran Close kicking three points and Bradley adding another to leave them four ahead on 58 minutes.

But this game was far from over as Murray and three Cunningham frees - the third with the last kick - levelled matters at 3-10 to 0-19 to force extra-time.

The teams remained locked going into the second period, but Cargin appeared to have a bit more in the tank with McCann and Close putting them in front and while Lámh Dhearg did get to within one, a late, fisted effort from Gribben sealed victory for the Erin's Own men.

CAVAN SFC final: Castlerahan 1-9 Ramor Utd 0-10

Castlerahan held off a desperate late rally from challengers Ramor Utd at Kingspan Breffni in a slow-to-the-boil Cavan SFC decider.

Ramor impressed off the blocks but the omens weren’t good when Oisín O’Connell goaled (7) to catapult the defending champions into the driver’s seat.

Ramor relying on the counter-attack but the tempo of the game increased dramatically in the dregs of the first half with a flood of points, including a peach (28) from county ace Oisín Kiernan for Castlerahan.

Castlerahan held a 1-5 to 0-7 interval lead but Ramor stuck to their task and a gem of a point from the marauding Mark Magee levelled (0-10 to 1-7) the tie for the first time with 40 minutes on the clock.

The 2018 champions edged back into the lead just 90 seconds later with a point from an increasingly influential Cian Mackey.

The red carding of Castlerahan number four Enda O’Connell in the 61st minute looked like being the cue for a grandstand finish by Ramor.

Ramor pressed forward but Castlerahan ‘keeper Jamie Leahy dived (64) to thwart Ramor’s James Brady who had thrown himself full length to flick the ball goalwards in a desperate bid to pull the fat from the fire.

An early Killeshin goal had them dreaming of an upset, but they trailed 0-5 to 1-0 at half-time following a Portlaoise recovery.

Killeshin struck another goal early in the second half, a brilliant effort from wing-forward Evan Lowry, but they just couldn’t hold on. They went further ahead after the restart with points from Fearghal Rooney and Adrian Croal.

MAYO SHC final: Tooreen 0-18 Castlebar Mitchels 1-13

Tooreen secured their 30th Mayo senior hurling championship title and third in a row after a two-point win over outsiders Castlebar Mitchels.

The east Mayo men led 0-10 to 0-7 at the break with Shane Boland and Fergal Boland leading the way on the scoreboard.

Despite the best efforts of a brave Castlebar challenge, who were appearing in their first final since 1998, Tooreen looked well on their way to victory when they led by five points going into injury-time.

A late goal from Padraig O’Flynn cut the gap to two points, but it was too little too late for Castlebar to pull off a surprise win.

OFFALY SFC final: Ferbane 2-13 Rhode 0-14

Cian Johnson was the hero for Ferbane in Bord na Móna O’Connor Park yesterday as his two second-half goals powered the West Offaly club to a first senior football crown in 25 years, denying Rhode a four-in-a-row in the process. After losing finals to Rhode in 2016 and 2018, Ferbane were handed a huge confidence boost when Rhode talisman Niall McNamee was deemed unfit to start. Despite that blow they moved 0-5 to 0-1 clear after 13 minutes, with Niall and Brian Darby both on the scoresheet for the village side.

Points from Joe Maher, Cian Johnson and Kevin Nugent got Ferbane within two at half time. They had to weather a ferocious Rhode storm at the start of the second half and while they fell 0-11 to 0-6 behind, a superb goal-line save from captain Stephen Wren kept them in the game. Then in the space of six minutes they hit 2-2 without reply, Johnson firing in both goals which turned the game in their favour.

ROSCOMMON SFC final: Padraig Pearses 2-10 Roscommon Gaels 1-10

First-half goals from Conor Payne and Hubert Darcy fired Padraig Pearses to the Roscommon SFC title for the first time amid emotional scenes at Dr. Hyde Park. Richard Hughes' injury-time goal threatened to complete an unlikely Roscommon Gaels comeback but Pat Flanagan's side held on to create history for a club that was founded in 1962 and had lost seven finals.

The Gaels, who finished with 13 players when Bryan O'Gara and Cian Connolly were sent off, started with early points from Connolly (free) and Tim Lambe. Conor Daly and Emmet Kelly restored parity before a precise team move ended with Payne palming the ball into the net in the 14th minute. Nine minutes later, it got better for Pearses as Paul Carey picked out Hubert Darcy who blasted to the net from an acute angle. Carey,

Payne and Conor Daly also kicked superb scores as Pearses held a 2-7 to 0-6 lead at the interval. The managed just three more points from Lorcan Daly, Emmet Kelly and Hubert Darcy (free). But Conor Daly and Darcy continued to inspire their side to the most famous of victories, despite Hughes' late goal.

WEXFORD SFC final: Castletown 3-16 Gusserane O’Rahilly’s 2-10

Castletown had to turn on the style to end a nine-year barren spell with a dramatic victory over Gusserane O’Rahilly’s in what was a thrilling Wexford SFC final at Innovate Wexford Park yesterday afternoon.

Inspired by the experienced James Holmes, who gave a towering attacking display, Castletown had a storming start when a Holmes-inspired move saw Brendan Halpin goal inside 30 seconds of the start, giving them a lead they never subsequently relinquished.

They led 1-7 to 0-2 by the 20-second minute when Gusserane had a Sam Wall goal disallowed for a square infringement, and in a quick counter-attack from the resulting free, Jonathan Bealin blazed home a superb goal. An Adrian Flynn goal minutes before the break hauled Gusserane back into contention, 2-8 to 1-6 at the interval.

When Castletown extended the lead with three unanswered points through James Holmes, Jonathan Bealin and Donnchada Holmes within six minutes of the restart, they looked on their way to a comfortable victory, but Gusserane kept battling and a forty-fourth minute Gavin Sheehan goal reduced the deficit to four points, 2-12 to 2-8.

Gusserane never led in the game and it was always Castletown who were going to finish strongly with sub Robbie Brooks scoring a superb third goal five minutes from the end to seal a dramatic victory and end that long barren spell without a county title.

Scorers for Castletown: J Bealin (1-6, 0-2 frees); J Holmes (0-6); R Brooks (1-1); B Halpin (1-0); C Carty, R Heffernan, D Holmes (0-1 each).
