O'Keefe to start for Tipp
Clonoulty Rossmore's John O'Keeffe has been chosen to start for Tipperary in Sunday's Munster SHC quarter-final against Cork in Thurles (throw-in 4pm).
The 22-year-old made his Allianz Hurling League debut against Waterford in March and is set for his Championship debut this weekend, linking up with David Young and Padraic Maher in the half-back line.
The team selected by manager Declan Ryan includes 12 players who started last September's All-Ireland final win over Kilkenny. The three others are O'Keeffe, Young and wing forward Seamus Callanan.
Goalkeeper Brendan Cummins is the elder statesman of the team at 36, while 20-year-old Noel McGrath will be looking to spearhead a Tipperary attack that disappointed in their last Championship meeting with Cork.
Twelve months ago, Tipp lost 3-15 to 0-14 to Cork at Pairc Ui Chaoimh with half of their points scored by free-taker and current captain Eoin Kelly.
Brendan Maher, who is recovering from a fractured fibula, and Seamus Hennessy, who has cartilage damage to his left knee, both remain sidelined.
The winners of Sunday's heavyweight encounter, the 81st Championship meeting of Tipperary and Cork, will progress to a semi-final against Clare on Sunday, June 19.
