Aaron Gillane and Seán O'Shea were today honoured with PwC GAA/GPA Players of the Month honours for April.
Gillane socred 1-9, including 1-5 from play in Limerick's first National Hurling League triumph since 1997 when the Patrickswell man's wonder strike helped John Kiely's Shannonsiders to success.
On the back of a first All-Ireland win in 45 year last August, Limerick kept their impressive run of form going this spring ahead of this weekend's Championship opener against Cork.

O'Shea was the top scorer in Division 1 of the National Football League as Kerry made it all the way to the final before losing out to Mayo.
The Kingdom will be looking to end Dublin's historic drive for five but immediate attention for Peter Keane's men is a Munster semi-final clash with Clare on June 1 in Ennis,
Munster Council Chairman Liam Lenihan praised both of the award winners.
"Seán has had an exceptional career to date for Kerry for a player so young and I’m sure we’ll be hearing and seeing much more about him throughout the summer," he said.
Ah here. Sean O’Shea. 👌

Of Gillane, the former Limerick GAA chairman added: “I’m delighted to see my fellow county man Aaron pick up the hurling award. He was a key reason Limerick added league honours to last year’s All-Ireland glory.
“Congratulations to both players and my thanks on behalf of the GAA to Ger and the PwC team for hosting today’s event and all they do in the promotion of our games.”
