GAA launches code of conduct for trainers

The GAA today launched "Our Game, Our Code", a document outlining proper practice for club coaches working with children.

It is jointly promoted by the GAA, the Camogie Association, the Ladies Gaelic Football Association, the Irish Handball Council and the Rounders Council of Ireland.

The code addresses the appropriate levels of behaviour, practice and conduct required from trainers, when working with youth players.

The GAA says the objective of the document is to promote a safe and enjoyable environment for children involved in sport.
