The funeral will take place today of the legendary Dublin GAA footballer and manager Kevin Heffernan.

He passed away last Friday at the age of 83.

A funeral mass will take place in St Vincent de Paul on Griffith Avenue in Marino, followed by burial at St Fintan’s Cemetery, Sutton.

Gardaí are warning motorists to expect traffic delays at Sutton Cross, and on the Carrickbrack Road, as mourners make their way to the Cemetery from midday.
