Dromore 1-14 Ardboe 1-13

Colm McCullagh decided an Omagh cliffhanger as he converted an injury-time penalty to guide Dromore to their second Tyrone Senior Football Championship title.

It was agony for Ardboe, who were chasing their first final win since 1998, as the McCullagh-inspired Dromore side staged a dramatic late comeback.

Ardboe were 1-12 to 0-10 ahead before McCullagh hit three successive points to reduce the arrears to two and the county player then held his nerve to fire home the decisive penalty, after a foul on the advancing Ronan McNabb.

Winners in 2007 and beaten finalists last year, Dromore led by 0-7 to 0-4 at half-time in front of an enraptured attendance of just under 7,000.

Frank McGuigan opened the scoring for Ardboe before St. Dympna's hit their stride, reeling off points from Sean O'Neill, Barry Collins and McCullagh.

Tyrone starlet Kyle Coney doubled Ardboe's tally but Eoin McCusker, McNabb, McCullagh and Collins confirmed Dromore's dominance as they moved four points clear.

The Bo, managed by Mickey Donnelly, had the better of play in and around half-time though.

Gavin Teague's point closed the gap to three for the break and a burst of 1-3 without reply, including a goal from Shay McGuigan, brought this cracker to a crescendo.

McGuigan, a son of watching Tyrone legend Frank McGuigan, sped onto a long through ball from his older brother Brian and impressively rounded the goalkeeper before hitting the back of the net.

But Dromore, with Ryan McMenamin increasing his influence, roared back at Ardboe and team captain McCullagh led by example as the Gardrum Park club memorably added to their maiden title win of 2007.
