You are invited to the launch of Beoga’s new album

Beoga will be celebrating their new album with a virtual launch party.

The new album, Carousel, will be released on Friday May 22.

The band will be playing music from the album at 8pm on Friday on YouTube and their social media profiles.

They will also be joined by Foy Vance, Lissie, Ryan McMullan and Stephanie Rainey.

Beoga said that anyone who wants to support the band can buy an optional virtual ticket for €5.

“Although the live stream will be free to view, you may wish to consider buying a ‘virtual’ gig ticket (or several) to help us to continue making music in the current climate,” they said.

They trad band gained international recognition after collaborating with Ed Sheehan on his third album, Divide.

They band said they had considered delaying the new album’s release due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Band member Eamon Murray told RTÉ: "We chatted about it, but that seemed like going backwards.

“We thought that maybe some folks might be glad of new music.

“With all the shows being cancelled, we wanted to try and busy ourselves one way or another and putting out the music we've been working on seemed like a good idea.”
