Watson admits: I'm a perfectionist

Emma Watson has admitted that she is obsessed with being perfect.

The 'Harry Potter' actress has inherited her hardworking nature from her lawyer parents, but although she takes pride in every project she undertakes, she admits she can be very hard on herself.

The 22-year-old beauty told Britain's Marie Claire magazine: "My parents have very strong work ethics and have instilled that in me; a love and a respect for what you do and taking pride in it. And then - and this is sort of irritating at times - I'm a bit OCD about perfectionism.

"I'm my own worst critic. I always want to do better. I'm always striving towards the next thing."

The petite star is due to return to her studies at Brown University this January and is looking forward to returning to the Ivy League institution as she feels studying keeps her grounded in the midst of her Hollywood lifestyle.

She mused: "I think having time to step away and study really, really helps.

"It helps to give me perspective on things. To be around people who are living their lives in different ways, who have different aspirations.

"It is a strange thing that I do and I can feel quite unnerving. It's good to remember that it's a bit mad.

"[Happiness] for me, its about finding satisfaction in the work that I do; it's to do with having healthy relationships with the people I care about."
