Yesterday, Jack had an ordinary life. Today, he realises that he is living a very different life.
The new trailer released for the movie Yesterday has people waiting in anticipation for its June 28 release date.
The movie follows the story of Jack Malik, played by Himesh Patel, who wakes up following a bus accident during a freak blackout, to find himself living in a world where nobody knows of or has heard of The Beatles or their iconic songs.
Director Danny Boyle, known for Slumdog Millionaire and Trainspotting, and screenwriter Richard Curtis establish an era in which the struggling musician fails to make it big in a difficult industry and is about to give up on his dreams after trying for years, despite the encouragement of his best friend, Ellie, played by Lily James.
The blackout removes two front teeth from Jack's mouth and removes the existence of The Beatles from the memory of the entire world.
Jack performs classics such as Let It Be and Yesterday, passing them off as his own creations but as he shoots to stardom he struggles with the fact that his fame is not based on his own work.
People have taken to social media to showcase their excitement for the movie's release.

Others were quick to compliment the casting of the movie, with a South Asian playing the lead in a movie not set in or about South Asia, which Jameela Jamil called "progress" in a Tweet.
And we cannot forget that Ed Sheeran makes an appearance playing himself in the new movie.
We're not quite sure if we can Imagine a world without The Beatles, but we cannot wait to watch this cast make the concept come to life.
