Vampire Weekend to play at Trinity's Summer Series in July

Vampire Weekend are returning to Ireland as the band have confirmed that they will be playing at the Summer Series in Trinity College on July 1.

Last month, the New York band released the songs “Harmony Hall” and “2021" from their upcoming fourth album, Father of the Bride, to critical acclaim with The Guardian, The Times, The New York Times and Rolling Stone all praising the group.

As well as their latest album coming out, the group are also celebrating their debut album, titled Vampire Weekend and released 11 years ago, gaining Platinum status in the US after selling one million copies.

The band's second and third albums, Contra and Modern Vampires of the City, both debuted at number 1 on the US charts.

With the upcoming album set to become their first new record in six years, fans will be eager to see the group when they come to Dublin.

The group were the headline act on the Saturday of the Longitude Festival in 2013
