Robbie Williams is being lined up to join Gary Barlow on the judging panel of 'The X Factor'.
The 'Candy' singer is set to star alongside his old Take That bandmate - whom he had a bitter feud with after leaving the group in 1995, which lasted until his brief return to record their 'Progress' album in 2010 - to shake up the judging panel of the ITV show.
A show source told The Sun newspaper: "This is the dream team. We have been looking at the show and thinking the unthinkable.
"Robbie is exactly the right person for the show -- but we don't want to lose Gary to get him. We want them both.
"Robbie's people are saying he is too busy to do the show.
"But we worked around Gary when he first joined the panel and he was touring with Take That and it was fine. We know Robbie loves the show and he and Gary have a great friendship and rivalry - there will be fireworks for sure."
If show bosses secure both singers, they are likely to be joined on the panel by long term member Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger, who did her first full year as a judge in 2012. Such a move could mean the loss of Tulisa Contostavlos as a judge, but show heads are not said to be worried about having three men front the show.
The source added: "Louis's future is as up in the air as it has been in any other year - but if Robbie and Gary do sign it will not necessarily mean curtains for him.
"The producers are relaxed about the gender make up of the panel. It is all about having big personalities."
