Hilary Swank will receive an Emery Award in New York City tomorrow, honouring her Oscar-winning role as a transgender teen in Boy's Don't Cry.
Emery Awards are presented by the Hetrick-Martin Institute to honour support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youths aged between 12 and 21.
Whoopi Goldberg and Kimora Lee Simmons will also participate in the 20th annual awards ceremony, which will be hosted by comedian Margaret Cho.
