Spoken word poet Natalya O'Flaherty announces debut headline show

Ireland's spoken word poet Natalya O'Flaherty has announced her debut headline show at The Sugar Club as part of Music Town 2019 in Dublin, April, 14.

The show aims to bring together spoken word with special musical arrangements, cutting edge visuals and soundscapes, with guests including members of Dublin's hip hop community: Local Boy & Sick Nanley (DJ Set), Tebi Rex and Marcus Woods.

O'Flaherty first made major headlines when she appeared as part of the St Patrick's Day Festival Young Blood concert at the National Concert Hall.

In 2018 she joined the World Up Collective, a Dublin based group working across hip-hop, spoken word, R&B, rap, pop and related genres. From there she has performed at the GPO, RTE Culture Night, Electric Picnic, Red Bull's Free Gaff, First Fortnight Festival and Glasdrum.

Earlier this year, O'Flaherty was commissioned by RTÉ's A Woman's World programme to mark the centenary of the female vote in Ireland where she performed 'Not Like The Other Girls' on The Late Late Show.

Music Town takes place in Dublin from April 5-21 and will host a range of events, including Music Together Ireland, which is aimed at adults with disabilities who might not have been able to access music education due to a lack of opportunity.

Tickets are €10 (early bird)/ €15 (general admission) and are available here: https://www.sugarclubtickets.com/purchase/natalya-oflaherty---more-than-words
