Officials were forced to work quickly to stop the ending of the latest Harry Potter book being revealed to unsuspecting motorists in England.
A banner revealing the outcome of the latest instalment of the adventures of the boy wizard was hung from a footbridge near Telford, in Shropshire.
Surprised motorists alerted the authorities and council workers were immediately deployed to remove the hand-written banner on health and safety grounds.
A spokesman for Telford and Wrekin Council said: “It appears to be a prank even though the book has been in the shops for a week now.”
The long-awaited sixth edition of the Harry Potter series was released at midnight last Friday.
