There's nothing we love more than a good true crime documentary and even more so a true crime documentary that outs a criminal for the crimes he or she has committed.
So, new release, The Boyband Con: The Lou Pearlman Story is no different.
The documentary which is co-produced by Lance Bass details how several boybands in the 90s, including NYSNC and Backstreet Boys, were scammed by their manager, Lou Pearlman.
The film explores the career and legacy of record producer and convicted criminal Lou Pearlman, his remarkable successes and offences, and his tragic end while serving a 25-year prison sentence for multiple felony convictions.
The Lou Pearlman Project reveals the dark side of stardom and the music industry as members of multi-platinum-selling bands such as *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, O-Town and Take 5 tell all about working with Pearlman.
