Morcheeba say they could break into the UK singles charts if radio stations were more adventurous.
They have sold three million copies of their albums around the world.
But their biggest UK hit single was when Rome Wasn't Built In A Day reached number 34 in August 2000.
Ross Godfrey said: "In this country they tend to play pop and in America the playlists are dominated by male rock. We appeal to the 20-something age group not 13 year-old girls.
That's why we sell bucketloads of albums but find it hard to break the Top 40 singles chart.
"It seems much easier for us to get TV coverage in Europe. It could be because our music fits in better with the laid-back Mediterranean lifestyle."
The band, which features Ross, his brother Paul and vocalist Skye Edwards, can be seen on MTV on August 8 in the Isle Of MTV dance event which they performed at together with Roger Sanchez and Gorillaz.
