Minogue splits from long-term boyfriend
Kylie Minogue has split from her boyfriend of five years, Spanish model Andres Velencoso.
An insider told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "Kylie and Andres haven't spent much time together because she's been holed up in a studio in LA working on her new album.
"He's also been trying to carve out an acting career for himself. When she signed up for 'The Voice' [UK] they knew they couldn't cope with the long-distance pressures the job would put on them."
A spokesman for Kylie, 45, confirmed her split from the 35-year-old star but noted their break-up was "amicable" with no-one else involved the decision besides the couple themselves.
It will be upsetting for the singer who previously described him as "the one".
She said: "He's the one. Sound the alarm, four years. I think it's a record. I'm pretty settled."
Earlier this year, Andres spoke of his then-girlfriend's "supporting" nature and describe her as a "pro" in their relationship.
He had explained: "She's a pro. We support each other. That's just one of the things you do when someone's part of our life. You're supporting of everything."
