Kick-Ass star to have romance in reboot

Chloe Moretz will have an on-screen romance in 'Kick-Ass 2'.

The 16-year-old actress' alter ego Hit-Girl grapples with more grown-up themes in the sequel to 2010's superhero comedy and Chloe revealed there is definitely love in the air for the potty-mouthed teenage crimefighter.

She hinted: "There's going to get a bit more romance, a much more grown-up Mindy Macready, someone who's questioning themself and whether they are a villain, assassin or a vigilante and a hero. So there's a lot of tormented inner self…It's interesting.

"It's been amazing revising the character and showing her more grown-up and more adult and more put-together. It's been a lot of fun."

The 'Carrie' starlet reprises her role in the follow-up alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Christopher Mintz-Plasse and new cast member Jim Carey will make his debut.

Writer Mark Millar recently announced the franchise would come to a definitive end after the third film and teased it may not come to a happy conclusion.

He said: "If someone doesn't have a bullet proof vest like Superman and doesn't have Batman's millions then eventually he is going to turn round the wrong corner and get his head kicked in or get shot in the face.

"So Kick-Ass needs to reflect that. There has to be something dramatic at the end, he cannot do this for the rest of his life."
