Kevin Hart reportedly released from hospital following car accident

Comedian Kevin Hart has reportedly been released from hospital following a car accident that occurred nearly two weeks ago.

According to US news outlets, Hart had back surgery after the crash happened in California on September 1.

TMZ reported that Hart suffered three spinal fractures when the driver of the car he was in, Jared Black, veered off the road and crashed into a ditch.

Hart's friend Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson posted a get well soon message on his Instagram, writing: "Stop messing with my emotions brother @kevinhart4real. We have a lot more laughing to do together. Love you man. Stay strong."

Johnson, who recently tied the knot to Lauren Hashian, left his honeymoon early to cover for Hart who had been scheduled to appear on The Kelly Clarkson Show shortly after the incident.

Speaking to Clarkson, Johnson said: "Everything is good. I spoke with Kevin...

"...You know what, these things happen in life and thankfully he was strapped in nicely to his carseat."

TMZ reports that Hart has moved to a live-in rehabilitation facility where he will undergo intense physcial therapy to recover from his back injuries.
